Kathmandu to Nepalgunj:

The journey often starts with a road trip from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, a city in the western part of Nepal. The road distance is around 550 kilometers, and it takes approximately 12-15 hours by bus or private vehicle.

Nepalgunj to Simikot:

From Nepalgunj, you may take a flight to Simikot, which is a town in the Humla district of Nepal. Simikot is the starting point for the road journey into Tibet. The flight takes about 1-1.5 hours.

Simikot to Hilsa:

From Simikot, you continue the journey by road to Hilsa, which is located near the Nepal-China border. The road distance is around 80 kilometers, and the journey may take several hours, depending on road conditions.

Hilsa to Taklakot (Purang):

After crossing the border, you reach the Tibetan town of Taklakot (also known as Purang). The distance is approximately 27 kilometers, and the journey may take around 1-2 hours.

Taklakot to Mansarovar:

The next leg of the journey involves traveling from Taklakot to Mansarovar Lake. The road distance is around 100 kilometers, and the journey may take about 3-4 hours.

Mansarovar to Darchen:

After the sacred dip in Mansarovar, pilgrims usually proceed to Darchen, the base camp for the Mount Kailash trek. The road distance is approximately 40 kilometers, and it takes around 1-2 hours. Darchen to Mount Kailash:Pilgrims who wish to trek around Mount Kailash can start the trek from Darchen. It’s essential to note that the road conditions in this region can vary, and the journey duration may be influenced by factors like weather and the overall condition of the roads. Additionally, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra involves crossing international borders, so travelers need to obtain the necessary permits and adhere to the regulations set by the governments of Nepal and China. It’s recommended to plan the trip through authorized tour operators who are experienced in organizing the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

Tour Plan

On arrival in the Kathmandu, meet our tour executive. transfer to hotel, After check-in the hotel at kathmandu, rest of the day is at leisure. Go to explore the surroundings on your own. Dinner & overnight stay in Hotel.

Next day in the morning after breakfast, sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath Darshan, Jal Narayan and Guheshwari Temple, after lunch rest to hotel & Overnight stay at hotel.

Next day, in the morning after breakfast, transfer to Raswa Gadi which is approx 152 Kms (6-7 Hrs) from Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check-in the hotel and overnight stay.

Next day in the morning After breakfast transfer to Rasuwa Gadi (1 hr drive 15kms), After immigration and customs formalities on both sides (Nepal & China). We Drive to the small town – Kerung (26km). On arrival check-in the hotel and overnight stay.

In the morning after breakfast, drive to Sanga (250 Kms drive), enjoy grand view of Mt. Shishapangma (8081 MT), Gauri Shankar & other high mountains. Drive through Gurungng- La Pass (5050 MT). Dinner & Overnight stay at Dongba.

Morning Drive 385 Kms to Holy Lake Mansarovar (4500 M). Very auspicious day for all people, the first glimpse of Holy Mansarovar and view of Mt. Kailash from Horchu Pass. Overnight stay in Lodge at Chhu Gompa at the shore of Lake Mansarovar.

Spiritual activities such as the abode of god will be a lifetime – achievement. Pooja, Havana worship, meditation, holy bath etc. Later drive an hour for Darchen, the base camp of Holy Mt. Kailash. Rest of day free for acclimatisation and preparing for circuit (Parikarma).

Drive for 10 kms to Tarboche (yam dhwar) and trek up about 04/05 hour Diraphuk (4890m) to reach Parikarma/Cora begins. Overnight stays at Guest house.

Parikarma Continues, this is the day every pilgrim talks about, the most difficult journey through out the trip, Trek up to Dolma La pass(5600m). We will offer very short prayers at Dolma-la (5600 MT) and move towards Gaurikunda. overnight stay at Guest house.

After Breakfast, we will trek around 8 km. We will be reaching at the point, where our jeeps will be waiting to drive us to Darchen, Parikarma ends. After Lunch we will drive to Dongba via Manasoravar. Overnight stay at Guest House.

Morning after breakfast, drive to Kerung (250 Kms). Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel in Kerung.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive for Kathmandu. On arrival, dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

In the morning after breakfast, check out from hotel. Transfer to Kathmandu airport. Depart for home with the blessings of Lord Shiva and the absolving pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra By Helicopter.
